Get moving during November and smash your fundraising and Moving Minutes goals.
Your moves can be life-saving. Just ask Stephen.
Stephen had a stroke in March 2021 while watching TV with his wife. Suddenly, he couldn’t speak or stand. His speech was all garbled. Thankfully, his wife knew what to do, thanks to a Stroke Foundation F.A.S.T. (Face, Arms, Speech, Time) magnet on their fridge. The ambulance arrived quickly, but Stephen suffered another stroke on the way to the hospital.
Recovery was tough. Stephen lost confidence and became fearful. Fatigue hit hard, leaving him overwhelmed and unable to do his usual activities. But Stroke Foundation was there. Their fact sheets helped Stephen understand stroke, its effects, and how to recover.
In November 2021, Stephen joined Stride4Stroke to give back. It gave him a sense of purpose and inspired him and others. He's participated every year since.
Stephen's life changed after his stroke, but his connection with Stroke Foundation made it better. He’s forever grateful.
Recognising the F.A.S.T. (Face, Arms, Speech, Time) signs of stroke quickly, can significantly reduce it's impact.
Will you help more people like Stephen recognise the F.A.S.T signs of stroke and support their path to recovery? Sign up for Stride4Stroke this November.

Why your help is important
In the next 11 minutes, someone, somewhere in Australia is going to have a stroke.
Stroke is one of Australia's biggest killers and doesn't discriminate; it affects anyone, anytime.
It claims more lives than breast cancer in women and prostate cancer in men.
And incredibly, up to 120 babies and 400 children have a stroke in Australia each year.
By fundraising for Stride4Stroke you'll be helping to sustain vital programs and resources that Stroke Foundation provides, such as:

Blood Pressure Check
