I’m taking on the challenge of Stride4Stroke and raising funds for Stroke Foundation!

Iam doing this for the people who only have support from the Stroke foundation no friends and
alone in this  stroke.  journey
In September 2022 l had a stroke. I am 58 and have a wonderful family that has supported me all way. They have taken me to appointments. Helped me understand my deficits so we can manage. I now have a detailed plan  l have often used the stroke foundation heaps for advice and to reassure me. I have minimal physical issues my   deficits are cognitive. Multi tasking, organising, remembering and managing household and fatigue. I am an x nurse, a first aid and community service trainer and assessor and before my stroke  a disabilty worker. I will never work in these industries again. But l have all of this knowledge that has helped me understand and cope and know who l can reach out to and get  help.  For some people, the stroke foundation is all the.support network they have.
