I’m taking on the challenge of Stride4Stroke and raising funds for Stroke Foundation!

Hi there, I'm taking on the challenge of Stride4Stroke and raising funds for Stroke Foundation to help prevent stroke, save lives and enhance recovery.

In the next 19 minutes, someone, somewhere in Australia is going to have a stroke for the first time.

Stroke is one of Australia's biggest killers and doesn't discriminate; it affects anyone, anytime, even unborn babies. It claims more lives than breast cancer in women and prostate cancer in men. And incredibly, around 600 Australian children experience stroke each year.

By supporting me, you'll be helping to sustain vital programs and resources that Stroke Foundation provides, including:

Preventing Stroke:

  • StrokeSafe Talks
  • Australia's Biggest Blood Pressure Check
  • Information Resources

Saving Lives:

  • F.A.S.T. (Face, Arms, Speech, Time) Signs of Stroke Awareness
  • Living Guidelines for Stroke Management
  • InformMe Website for Health Professionals

Enhancing Recovery:

  • StrokeLine
  • My Stroke Journey
  • EnableMe Website for Survivors of Stroke

Your support goes beyond just a donation; it's a lifeline for individuals at risk of stroke and survivors of stroke.

Thank you for supporting me. Together we can change the state of stroke in Australia for generations to come.

My story starts back on new year day 2023 I woke up after new year night feel a bit weird didn’t really think about it much took some Nerofine went back to bed didn’t feel much better. Thought I was having a really bad migraine so went on tram to the royal Adelaide not knowing I have a stroke.
I  had a cat scan done and found out I have this really rare problem called moya moya that causes strokes and bunch of other things  like seizures ect not knowing this I went home the next day like normal as it was as I was pretty normal the next day when I got home I researched it I was shocked to see that I would need a bypass surgery on my brain and it was a very dangerous problem.
Months went by and by without surgery and I was feeling really bad one night after taking my med for my eperlisey I was feeling really bad an was going  to the bathroom and planning on going to bed i Suddenly felt  really  bad so I tried to call on my phone for help but my voice was surered  I said I need help come help me call the ambulance please not long after some came to help me along with the para medical team .
Also having seizures.
Not long after that I lost my speech and currently have only a few word I can say struggle to eat and move and walk I am currently in rehabilitation and getting stronger and better I had my brain surgery and am  waiting for a second brain bypass and to hopefully go home I am using a speech device to talk and tube to get most of my nutrition and med hopefully later won’t need it.
