I’m taking on the challenge of Stride4Stroke and raising funds for Stroke Foundation!
Hello, this November I’ll be exercising 1000 minutes for the Stride4Stroke challenge to raise awareness of the importance of exercise to help reduce the risk of stroke.
In August this year, stroke claimed the life of our beloved dad and we miss him very much.
Improved fitness had been proven beyond doubt to reduce the risk of mortality from stroke to the extent that it rivals or may even be more effective than medical intervention.
In the next 11 minutes, someone, somewhere in Australia is going to have a stroke.
Stroke is one of Australia’s biggest killers and doesn’t discriminate; it affects anyone, anytime. It claims more lives than breast cancer in women and prostate cancer in men. And incredibly, up to 120 babies and 400 children have a stroke in Australia each year.
Your support for me goes beyond just a donation. Spreading awareness about the importance of exercise to reduce the likelihood of stroke could be a potential lifeline for individuals at risk.
Thank you for supporting me. Together we can help change the state of stroke in Australia for generations to come.
Andrew

Well done Andrew. My Mum had 3 big strokes and disabled her then took her life. Her last 12 years were challenging. So hope they can find better prevention for this.
