I’m taking on the challenge of Stride4Stroke and raising funds for Stroke Foundation!

Hi!  I’m Abby :)

I am proud to be participating in Stride4Stroke 2024 to raise crucial awareness and support for stroke survivors and their families. Stroke is one of the leading causes of disability, and its effects can be life-altering. My personal motivation stems from my grandfather, who is a stroke survivor. His resilience and recovery journey have deeply inspired me, and I am committed to contributing to initiatives that promote stroke prevention, research, and improved care for those affected. Through this event, I hope to make a meaningful impact in supporting the recovery and wellbeing of stroke survivors.

In the next 19 minutes, someone, somewhere in Australia is going to have a stroke for the first time.

Stroke is one of Australia's biggest killers and doesn't discriminate; it affects anyone, anytime, even unborn babies. It claims more lives than breast cancer in women and prostate cancer in men. And incredibly, around 600 Australian children experience stroke each year.
