Day 16 - Hey look Ma + friends, I made it!


Another Des post and a milestone at that ~ Tanjiro and I finally reached out moving minutes goal! 

Today we went on another different route, where we located not one, but two parks tucked away in our local suburbia! We almost got lost on the way home, but was blessed to see an overarching rainbow above our heads!

Day 15 - In Full Bloom!

Des again! Coming back from camp was a little drizzly ~ wasn't sure how to capture Tanjiro, but I had noticed that the flowers in our street were in full bloom! It was very pretty ~

Day 13 - Challenge Walk!


On Friday, Tanjiro and Des went off to camp! Another scorching day, but she took a stroll around the camp site. Lots of big trees, beautiful birds and cute little bunnies hopping around :P

Day 12 - Feelin' Hot Hot Hot!


Another Thursday shop with Des ~ Great weather but oh boy, were we sweltering in this heat :')

Day 11 - Des made her $95 goal!


Des made it to her $95 dollar threshold!

Day 10 - Livin' Local


Hey everyone, Des again! Apologies for the late updates everyone, been caught up with life and other shenanigan's (you'll see in the posts above :P) 

In saying this, Monday was just a simple trek, to and from the local library ~

Day 9 - Jingle Bell Shop!


Des here with Day 9! Today was our usual Thursday shop to the market ft. Christmas songs! (but honestly, go away Mariah ... you are not back here for another month :P)

Day 8 - New Directions!


Another day, another update from Des xD Went on an alternative route for today's walk! Again, it was nice to just be out in the fresh air and sunshine ~ Glad to see the weather turned out alright :)

Day 7 - Hidden Treasures

It's Des again with my Day 7 update! Today was a slightly shorter walk than usual ~ Walking home from the shops however, I came across this really cool piece of street art hidden amongst our laneways!

(and yes, a little cameo from Tanjiro :P)

Day 6 - Childhood memories!


Des here and today, I decided to take a slightly different route ~ Next to my old primary school, there was a park that the teachers used to take us. Sitting out there, it was just so nice to take in the warm sunshine and fresh air!

I also ended up going past the school. It has developed so much since I have left ~ how times have changed!

I think Tanjiro wants to stay hidden today :P 

Day 4 - Escape to the city :D


Hey guys, it's Des. Apologies for the delay, it's been another busy weekend for us Kira Girls!

Friday was less of a walk and more of a trek to the city ~ Short walk, but made some of it in! Tanjiro also getting a piece of the action as we play some Magic the Gathering!

Day 3 - Market Day


Hey everyone, it's Des again with another update! (Day 3)

Today, Tanjiro and I travelled to the market for our usual Thursday shop! Although, the Christmas decorations have started to appear much earlier this year ~ It may be a little hard to see our mascot, but he is definitely present :P

Day 2 - The Butterfly Mural


Hey everyone, Des here with my Day 2 update!

Today I went through one of my usual walk routes! I always go past this beautiful mural and so thought to give Tanjiro some wings ~ All I need is the Google Pixel eraser to hide my hand :D 

Day 1 - We're back!


New year, new cause :D Join our mascot Tanjiro as we stride 150 minutes each week to raise money for The Stroke Foundation!

The Kira Girls are taking on the challenge of Stride4Stroke and raising funds for Stroke Foundation!

In the next 11 minutes, someone, somewhere in Australia is going to have a stroke.

Stroke is one of Australia's biggest killers and doesn't discriminate; it affects anyone, anytime. It claims more lives than breast cancer in women and prostate cancer in men. And incredibly, up to 120 babies and 400 children have a stroke in Australia each year.
